Why are you harassing me

I’m the janitor at Harvard University

Do you think you can come push me around

Just because my skin is brown

Why did you come bursting through the door?

Did you think I was robbing a store

They hired me to do a  job

But you think I’m in this neighborhood to rob

Put the handcuffs on me

And throw away the key

How come I feel like you’re robbing me?

It’s my job to turn the lights down real low

It’s also my job to clean the flo

I am only the janitor at Harvard University

But I got a special friend with a law degree

I think I’ll give him a call and then you will see

He will tell you that you are “acting stupidly…”
